There is so much chatter about Global Warming and its adverse effects on the earth’s environment, that one would have to live in a cave or another planet, not to be aware of it. The paradox however, in not whether you are aware, but how well are you able to process what you are aware of; what does all the chatter amount too; are you a part of the problem or the solution? Indeed, what is the problem?
I hope that by the time you finish reading this, you will feel a lot better about what you, as a home based business owner, are actually doing to help preserve the eco balance. Keep in mind that your group, identified as working from home entrepreneurs or Home-Based Business persons has become an identifiable group, whose numbers increase daily and to such an extent that they are attracting worldwide attention as increasingly a group that is setting trends and impacting major studies on America’s future.
The main enemy in this scenario is pollution. A pollutant is defined as anything that is released into the environment that takes an undue toll on nature’s ability to reconvert it into usable byproducts available to restart the conversion process in a short period of time. Now come on, I know as well as you do, that this is not exactly a scientific definition, but don’t you get the drift intended here? Good. If we produce more garbage than we have bags to hold, we have too much garbage and need an alternative.
As home-based business owners, we provide America with important alternatives to the largest assault on our fragile environment which theoretically occurs, during what has become known as the “morning and evening rush hours”. We have chosen to rise above the din and noise by seeking a bold new way to provide for the needs of ourselves and our families. We have been willing to take a chance on success and good fortune by relying on our ability to say to we are honest and loving people, worthy of our clients’ trust and confidence. We say to them, Park your gas hogging automobiles that spew tons of pollutants annually and let me deliver to your door, the same quality products that you have come to expect and drive all over town to find. We will put the quality products in your face via your computer and; save you gas, time and money and put your products in your hands with the same assurances that you get from being in the store.
The bottom line is: as a home based business owner, via your computer, you are reducing the consumption of fuel and the attendant emission of pollutants and offering the same or greater savings to your customers. Congratulations on behalf of the American people and the world’s population for your efforts on our behalf.
Now, while you are thinking about it, how have you cut back on the consumption of energy and/or the emission of pollutants? How do your efforts make you feel?
Until next time…

As someone who works from home herself as a blogger and Independent Watkins Associate, I really enjoyed reading this article. Your points really struck home. And while not everyone may be quite as lucky as I am to have found something that reduces my carbon footprint while earning a living and staying home with my family, I would hope that more corportations offer their employees telecommute/work-from-home options to help the environment as well (and not just to save rent $).
Great post once again!
