Let us talk briefly about breaking down the wall between you and your prospective buyers and/or clients. I maintain that people buy from people they know, like and trust and there is no sale until the money changes hands. I would like to follow up on this train for a few lines here.
I believe a picture is worth a thousand words and a picture is irrefutable evidence that you exist and your peospects, are dealing with a live human and not some unknown corporate entity or fictional character.
We were all made by a creator and we are who we are. If for some strange reason we feel that we don’t measure up to some standard and therefore should not put forth our image, what is the problem and whose is it? We use excuses like; ugly, fat, skinny, white, black, Asian, male, female, old, young, country, too sophisticated, dumb and the list goes on. Well let me tell you, those aren’t reasons at all, they are Classic excuses. We roll them off our tongues like water rolling down Niagara Falls. Many of us are fear everything including our own shadow. Deep within, we know we are conditioned to have a job and depend on someone else for all we need. We know that others will fail us so how can we overcome the excuses?
Glad you asked. Realize that we are who we are and we are all in this thing together; that is to say, what you are is not at all an issue to anyone but you. If you have a good product and/or service, that I am in the market for, is all that matters. On the other hand, if in your mind, the problem persists, then guess who needs to be worked on? That’s exactly right, Y O U, you, are the problem. Get over whatever is bothering you and the world will amazingly follow. You see, we are really far too busy to concern ourselves with your insecurities unless; you take away our options and make yourself and your issues a priority. A bad move in my humble opinion (IMHO).
So, what really do you need to do? Well to begin with, accept who and what you are. We are made by our creator in his/her image and are a direct reflection as well as a direct representative. You are not ugly! If you are overweight, take actions to lose weight, there are remarkable products available to help you; Bad skin, same thing, amazing products available. Do you see a pattern here? There is no excuse for languishing in any pity parties or periods of mourning. “Get over It”. Life is good, and so are you. I might also add; if you are working from home and online, none of the above is relevant anyway. You are beautiful and your picture needs to be with your advertising message and before the public that you wish to convert to clients/friends.
If you disagree, that is okay too. Remember, this is America and contrary to what you may believe, we do not live under a law of unanimity. If you want to tell me why, that is even better. You have an opinion on everything and it is okay to express it. You will no doubt get feedback, which is good and it will either reinforce or dispute what you think and cause you to rethink or stand fast on your position, and that is what the process is all about. Before you embark on this journey of massive thought however, add your picture to your displays and the responses you get will more that prove my contention.
